Dear prospective student,
As a new graduate (March 2024), I would love to share with you the most amazing, important, and professional experience I have ever had. At some point in my professional life, I felt a great routine in my work and daily life. Then, I met a gentleman who was a professional butler. I was fascinated by him and his profession. He became my inspiration. It was then that I decided that being a butler was exactly what I wanted to do. It was the beginning of a great adventure.
You must do your own research and do it well. Don’t be fooled by flashy websites that promise the world. Intensive training programs with room and board included are expensive, so I researched Butler Schools worldwide. The most reputable and worthwhile school was the International Butler Academy in the Netherlands, and I chose this school without any hesitation. The Academy opens its doors to visitors so they can experience and see everything firsthand. At The International Butler Academy, everything is clear. Nothing is hidden, and you do not pay one more cent once you are at school. During my training program, we had numerous potential students visit the Academy. It is the best way, and you can then ask all your questions and decide. I followed The International Butler Academy for seven years while saving money to attend the training program. Then, in January of 2024, I arrived at TIBA with about 16 students from around the world. From the first moment I arrived at The International Butler Academy, I realized this was no ordinary school, and I don’t mean the majestic and enormous buildings they occupy.
The very first day was amazing. I received a lot of information at one time, and I realized this would not be normal training. I immediately understood that I had come to the right place to become a professional butler. I was impressed by the high standards of professionalism, expertise, and dedication demonstrated by the trainers and staff. Their commitment to excellence enriched my learning experience and passion for a high standard of hospitality and The True Art of service.
The training is not easy, and I am sure not suited for everyone. You must love this profession. You must have the dedication to serve your principal. The days are very long and full of information, emotions, and stress, but they are also a lot of fun and happiness as well. I really enjoyed every training day even when it was very difficult. The philosophy of the Academy is to push you to your mental and physical limits and prepare you for all situations you will or might encounter in in the future, and how to stand up and keep smiling when you are exhausted and tired.
One of the most important parts of the training program is that everything is real. You will be in many real situations with real guests, event preparations, and role-playing. This is the best way to learn. You will start in the program as men and women but after ten weeks, you will be real gentlemen and ladies with the knowledge, mindset, education, lifestyle, and technical skills, of a professional butler. Please enjoy my graduation day with me. It was one of the best days of my life. There were many tears, and yes, I made it.
An enormous thank you to all TIBA management and staff. I am very grateful for their support and mentorship to help me to be a Butler. I am so very proud to be an Ambassador of the TIBA.
