The International Butler Academy China officially opened its doors on July 10, 2014, in the captivating city of Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Nestled in an exclusive area, the academy resides within a luxurious private villa, boasting spacious training rooms, comfortable bedrooms, a well-equipped bar, a modern Western and Chinese kitchen, and amenities like a swimming pool and sauna. Specifically tailored for butlers and service staff in Asia, the 6-week butler hospitality program caters exclusively to Chinese nationals and is offered in both English and Chinese languages.
To commemorate this momentous occasion, the opening ceremony and formal dinner were hosted at the prestigious InterContinental Hotel, located in the iconic Chengdu Global Center, known as the largest building in the world. The event attracted many guests and media representatives. The gala dinner, following a press conference, welcomed approximately 250 esteemed attendees, including CEOs, hotel General Managers, ambassadors from countries such as Australia, Switzerland, England, and the Netherlands, as well as local celebrities and distinguished officials. The Honorable Mr. Tieleman, Consul General of The Netherlands, had the honor of cutting the ribbon, marking the official inauguration.
